Trim and cut your videos with a timeline and frame preview.
Video Trimmer lets you cut segments from a video file by selecting start and end points on a visual timeline. You can remove unwanted sections from the beginning or end of a recording, extract a specific clip from a longer video, or cut out a middle segment — all within your browser with no server uploads. Long videos almost always contain sections you do not need. A screen recording includes five minutes of setup before the actual demonstration starts. A meeting recording has fifteen seconds of silence at both ends. A raw video clip has a false start or a long pause in the middle. Rather than re-recording the entire take, trimming removes these sections precisely and produces a clean final video. All trimming is done by re-encoding the selected segment using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, meaning the video data stays on your machine throughout. The tool provides frame-accurate preview so you can set cut points exactly where you want them.
Upload a video file and the tool loads it into a player with a timeline scrubber below it. Play through the video, pause at the point where you want the trimmed clip to start, and click Set Start. Continue playing, pause at the desired end point, and click Set End. The timeline highlights the selected region in green. You can fine-tune the start and end points using frame-level step buttons or by dragging the handle markers on the timeline. A preview button lets you play only the selected segment to confirm your cuts are correct. When you are satisfied, click Trim to export just that segment as a new video file in the original format.
Every video creator spends significant time trimming raw footage. A tutorial creator needs to remove the thinking pauses between sentences. A gamer wants to extract only the highlight moment from a 30-minute stream. A marketer edits a testimonial down to the most impactful 15 seconds. Trimming is the most fundamental video editing operation, and this tool handles it cleanly without the overhead of a full video editor.

cutting home videos and event recordings to remove unwanted sections
A software trainer records a 15-minute tutorial but the first 90 seconds contain setup silence and the last minute has off-topic chat. Using Video Trimmer, they set the start at 1:30 and the end at 14:00, producing a clean 12:30 video ready for upload.
A wedding videographer captures a 45-minute ceremony but only needs the 2-minute vow exchange for a highlight reel. Trimming from 22:15 to 24:30 extracts exactly the segment needed without loading a full video editor.
